Adv. Rameez Reza is a first-generation lawyer and graduate from the Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), currently practicing as an Advocate at the District and Sessions Court, Araria, while also handling cases seasonally at the Patna High Court. He is the Principal Partner at Reza Hassan & Associates (Law Firm), a recently established law firm dedicated to delivering trusted legal advocacy and consultancy services with an unwavering commitment to justice, integrity, and professionalism.
Alongside his legal practice, Rameez actively works with prominent social organizations such as Jan Jagaran Shakti Sangathan (JJSS) and Janman People’s Foundation.
a. Jan Jagaran Shakti Sangathan (JJSS), formerly Jan Jagaran Abhiyan, is a registered trade union representing workers in the unorganized sector. It mobilizes rural poor to demand better services from the government and to access their entitlements under various legislations (jjssbihar.in).
b. Janman People’s Foundation is a youth-led Section 8 non-profit organization, driven by development sector professionals, that works at the grassroots level on Behavioral Change, Civic Engagement, Access to Justice, Community Empowerment, and Disaster Relief. It focuses on addressing systemic barriers faced by marginalized communities and promotes inclusive, sustainable development through innovative, community-driven initiatives (janmanindia.org).
With a strong focus on Human Rights, particularly Minority Rights, Rameez is passionate about bridging academia and research to create meaningful legal and social impact. His work emphasizes collaboration with Civil Rights Organizations, Litigation Chambers, Governmental Bodies, Ministries, and Law Firms to advance justice and equity.
He also undertakes freelance research assignments, specializing in data-driven and doctrinal work on Human Rights, Civil Liberties, and Sharia Law, continually enhancing his expertise in legal research and writing.
Beyond law and research, Rameez is deeply committed to education and empowerment. As the founder of Project EduConnect (Connecting Minds, Igniting Futures), he leads a non-profit initiative dedicated to providing educational opportunities for learners at all levels, particularly within minority and underserved communities in India.
